Today is Nathan’s 23rd birthday. For those of you who are thinking to yourselves, “Who the hell is Nathan?” Nathan is the co-founder and guy who fixes all my tyos when I do some epic drinking and blogging. You may also know him from Drunk Pirate hits like, “15 Ways To Save Money When Going Out,” and “Amarula Cream: It’s Sexy Time.” Because it’s kinda crappy to have your birthday on a Sunday, we all celebrated Nathan’s birthday Friday night. Kudos to His girlfriend Rachel for pulling off a surprise party BTW.
We started out at Las Margaritas where I drank my weight in Dos XX Amber on draft. I mean seriously, what was I supposed to do? They were 36oz mugs for $3.50. We all drank and had a great time. At one point a trio of shot girls, one of which had no business wearing the tight, shiny, sequined dress she was crammed into, came around giving out free samples of Jose Cuervo Silver which could only be described as bizarrely smooth. I expected the usual nose clearing burn that required a lime and beer chaser afterwards, but this stuff was nice and smooth with no harsh aftertaste. If I were allowed to drink tequila, Cuervo Silver would definitely be my go-to tequila.
Once we’d had our fill of Dos XX, tacos and shots from fat shot girls, we decided to check out the new bowling center that just opened. The place is called Strikes and it is ginormous. It has your typical lanes and arcade, but the bar area looks like the sports bet at the Las Vegas Hilton. Dozens of high top tables with high ceilings and massive T.V. screens playing a different sporting event on each one.
As impressive as the huge bar area was, it didn’t hold a candle to the private room (pictured) that you can rent out for parties. It has 4 private lanes, couches, several small plasma screens and two giant plasmas at the end of the lanes. Oddly enough we didn’t even bowl. We drank $5 pitchers of beer and played a little pool.
After last call, we headed to my house and well, played Wii bowling. I housed everybody until the Steel Reserve took hold and I got my ass kicked relentlessly by Nathan at both Facebreakers and regular ping pong in the garage. So all in all it was a great and fun night, and I spent most of yesterday trying out different hangover remedies.

Cuervo Silver is transcendental. Tequila has become my #1 spirit.
