years to late but i finally broke down and bought a rogue beer and i agree withe writer you beer snobs are ones make this craft brewers take you for every penny beer should taste good and be affordable beer this expensive belongs in a bar with bitches and convo not next to the wine isle so you can feel smart and hip. if wanna be a snob then go to college then make fun of your mechanic for his ignorance of psychology…. this beer is good and does not deserve its outrageous payment plan. pictures of working class people does not make it affordable

even in portland where we have incredible variety of craft beers, rogue is one of the most expensive brewers. still trying to figure out why…

I have a feeling that a lot of the people that are posting the, “omg beer n frezer don’t no wut u talkin’ bout”, haven’t actually *TRIED* Dead Guy Ale.

I bought a 6 pack of it last night, and the review was spot on regardless of temperature.

Fools need to stay off the blog if they don’t know what they’re talking about.

I had the Dead Guy Ale last Sunday, they had a special on draft. I wanted to buy some last night and Whole Foods had it for $12 for a sixer. I still find no good reason why this beer is so expensive. Its more expensive than belgians that are shipped across the friggen ocean. I live in Chicago and the price for most of there six packs are 9.99 to 13.50 at Binny’s. Cheaper than going to the bar but come on. I like to support the little guys but they need to help out as well. Been drinking some great beers from Great Lakes which have a better price point. Continue drinking good beer……and those that drink lesser beers are not bad guys, they are simply not enlightened.

What’s with those prices?!
Here is Raleigh, North Carolina, I just bought a 22 oz. Dead Guy Ale at the grocery store for $6.49 + 7.75% tax = $6.99.
The Heineken 22 oz. was $2.99 which is higher than the gas stations ($2.69) and Wal*Mart ($2.49) so that lets you know this particular grocery store is the high priced location. But still. That’s one expensive beer so it better be good.
I have to admit I bought it because I haven’t tried this beer before and it has an awesome dead guy on the label. Score one for the graphic designers of the world.

I’m with Michael. Anyone who has to pay $12 a SP doesn’t know where to shop. I buy DG in neighborhood food stores for $7.95 in Tampa. Rogue ales are quite good, Beer in the freezer? what do you normally drin, bud Lite?
